Alton is a town in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, and several useful trade and storage addresses connected with it are quite separate from one another. Use this checklist to pin down every destination before you contact a hire company.
Confirm each trade address exactly
For tools and supplies, Toolstation's branch is at 2 Absolute House, Mill Lane, GU34 2PX; drop the building and unit and the address is incomplete. For building materials, Coomers is on Waterbrook Road, GU34 2UD. Copy both exactly as listed into your plan, and add them to any shared notes so drivers and helpers are working from the same details.
Note which stops lie outside town
Barn Store Alton is at Hartley Park Farm Business Centre on Selborne Road. The site is on the B3006 between Alton and Selborne, away from the town centre, so anyone meeting you there needs the farm address rather than a general search for Alton. Mill Lane, Waterbrook Road and Selborne Road are three distinct destinations, and it pays to list them in the order you will reach them.
Record what each stop involves
Beside every address, write the order or unit reference, the number of items and the size of the largest piece. Confirm collection arrangements directly with each business, since a van booking tells you nothing about their own procedures or timings.
Book with the checklist in hand
Send the hirer your dates, pickup and return times, drivers, an estimated mileage and the dimensions of the largest item. Ask about the deposit, fuel policy and insurance excess, then compare the replies side by side before you commit.
